Redesigned EXAIR EFC Electronic Flow Control Reduces Compressed Air Waste

30th October, 2026

EXAIR has introduced its redesigned EFC™ Electronic Flow Control, offering manufacturers a smarter way to automate compressed air delivery, minimise waste and reduce operating costs.

The EFC combines a photoelectric sensor with programmable timing control to automatically activate compressed air only when required, eliminating unnecessary airflow during production gaps.  The redesigned EFC introduces independent ON and OFF asynchronous timing for greater control over operating cycles, along with convenient external programming that eliminates the need to open the enclosure when adjusting settings.

Key features include:

  • Photoelectric sensor: Detects objects up to 1 metre (3 feet) away
  • Fast-acting solenoid valve: Automatically controls compressed air delivery
  • High flow capacity: Accommodates flows up to 9,911 SLPM (350 SCFM)
  • Flexible timing: Independently programmable ON and OFF intervals
  • External programming: Quick, convenient adjustments without opening the enclosure

Ideal for blowoff, drying, cooling, conveying and static elimination, the EFC helps manufacturers optimise compressed air consumption, improve efficiency and reduce energy costs.

This redesigned EFC complements EXAIR’s range of compressed air optimisation solutions, including Digital Flowmeters, Ultrasonic Leak Detectors and Digital Sound Level Meters.
