Why should I avoid using a non-contact “Temp Gun” (infrared heat gun) to determine my cabinet temperatures?
The “Temp Gun” will read the surface temperature of the material at which they are aimed, instead of air temperature. So that we may accurately calculate the internal heat load of the cabinet, we need to know the current external and internal air temperatures of the cabinet. A simple air temperature thermometer is recommended.
